Barnabas Questions

In Becoming Barnabas by¬†Robert Logan and Tara Miller, they present six questions which can foster a ministry of encouragement. These six questions help a person feel valued and heard, without feeling like they are being set upon with lots of unwanted advice or feedback. It gives the person being asked the question “What can I do for you?” permission to say “nothing.” And, it gives the person asking the questions to do just one little thing: pray.

These questions are great for intimate conversations with people that you know well.

They also work with people that you don’t know so well, but you’d like to.

And, they could be a great, and gentle, way to share your faith with someone that you don’t know at all.

How are you?
What are you celebrating?
What challenges are you experiencing?
What do you plan to do about these challenges?
How can I help you?
How can I pray for you?
